Our story
Eden conserve ltd is an organization founded by the winners of Zoohackathon Uganda 2019. It was started with a primary aim of creating awareness on environmental conservation, climate change and protection of endangered species using technology.
During the ZooHackathon 2019 competitions organized by the US mission in Uganda in partnership with Uganda Wildlife Education center (UWEC), the directors worked together for 48 hours and built a web application that matched human characteristics with animal characteristics to create empathy and help stop wildlife trafficking.
While they did not win the global competitions, the directors remained zealous about wildlife conservation. After engaging UWEC and learning which species are endangered in Uganda, they chose to develop projects that offer a voice to endangered species—first in Uganda and later globally.
Mission: Eden conserve exists to create both global awareness and local pride for endangered species through the use of technology.
